Bruzas Wedding Speeches

Bruzas Wedding Speeches

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen I’d
like to welcome you to the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Bruzas. My name is Keiran
and normally I’m just Olivia’s older brother but today I stand here before
you as the master of ceremony now when Olivia and Jobe asked me to be the master
of ceremony I was delighted somewhat nervous nervous because I wondered if I
had the right qualities to do it justice yet after a quick Google search I can
confirm I do according to google font of all knowledge
good master of ceremony is bold eloquent daring athletic ruggedly handsome and
above all incredibly humble but alas this isn’t about me this is about Olivia
and Jobe their friends their families and their big day so if I could ask you
to please raise a glass to the happy couple
so the happy couple now first to say a few words is my dad it goes without
saying that olivia is the apple of my dad’s eye I won’t say favorite and given
that I’ve seen my dad get emotional when she makes him a particularly good cup of
tea the next few minutes promised to be extremely interesting it may have to be
with him but it will be worth it please welcome to the floor the father of the
bride my dad first of all a warning I’m a very old
man very old man and it’s a scientific fact
someone at the golf club told me that the older man gets the more prone ears to
tears so be prepared welcome it oh sorry check the professional to tell
me welcome everybody on behalf of gonna stand myself let me welcome you to this
very special occasion I’m very proud to say I’m the father of the bride but some
months ago I was slightly thrown by a piece of paper I saw Jobe was clearly
planning something On it he had, Ian Spence FOB. Now, come
on I’m not fat slightly overweight maybe he thank you old yes but you know but
then of course he said Glennis Spence MOB
come on she’s not always sweetness and light and giggling and laughing but miserable I don’t think we’re really
so pleased you could come here today thank you do you stay there so pleased
you could come to what we hope will be a wonderful celebration here we go the old
man right I have two very special young people one union we trust that will be
filled with love for the rest of their lives we wish to say a special welcome
to Craig and Albany, Jobe’s parents to Pearl and Leslie and Kevin his
grandparents now these people are responsible for the young man you see
here today and they all vehemently deny any
responsibility whatsoever we welcomed Gleny’s sister – her older sister I’ve
been asked to point out and David her husband and a family then my sister
Jean, husband Mick and their family all the way from God’s own country just
we’ll have a few bars of Ilky Mo Bar Tat later let me say they only just made
it in time that’s the sort of the family joke
our son Kieran and his wife Hannah and Clementine Olivia Rose Spence. If anybody disagrees with me that
she is the most beautiful intelligent gorgeous baby you’ve ever seen you’re
perfectly at liberty to leave the party Anna and Lorenzo woo
yeah Anna and Lorenzo from Sweden and Italy now as I understand it they’re
gonna tie the knot sometime next year so girls keep your best frock shiny you
never know wedding is Sicily I want to take this
opportunity to thank my beautiful Glenys – here’s the old man again – for raising with me, to assist – two wonderful children today’s beautiful bride and Kieran. That wasn’t unconsciously I didn’t
expect that. On Mother’s Day this on Mother’s Day this year
Olivia sent her mother a card that said when I open my mouth my mother comes out
and that’s so very very true so Jobe, so Jobe, if you’re very lucky in about 40
years this is what you’ll get but they are they are so light and yet they never
ever wrong words no arguments nothing like that and if somebody could catch
one of those pigs as they fly plaque I’d be very grateful gives like this for a
father ideas a very mixed emotions you can hear okay you can hear okay on the
one hand you feel that you’ve saw the lost the little girl that you’ve
cherished and nurtured for all those years and on the other you’ve got your
bathroom back hang on I’ve gotten mixed up I’m gonna
mix up so your letter seven yeah yeah yeah when Olivia was born the doctor
that was delivering her shalt oh she’s beautiful
that was immediately after Glenys had stopped hurling obscenities of nursing
stuff you said the second one would be easier where’s the bloody epidural and
words further words they’re not really suitable for this gathering. Anyway she
was beautiful she is beautiful but beauty is not just
on the outside and I like to think that both of our children have matured into
caring compassionate generous loving adults and if Glenys is still adamant
that we’re not going for any more I don’t settle for these two. Just
emphasize it where no one as far as I’m aware
either at birth or any time since was accused Kieran of being beautiful of
course of course Olivia as well as being beautiful is
talented talented she don’t believe it as well as being beautiful he’s talented
– she didn’t hear me – and she clearly gets a look from a mother it
would be immodest of me to indicate where she gets her talent from as a girl
Olivia always had animals we have three golden retrievers a rabbit called
crunchy who’s still mourned and at different times three horses a pony
bandit another pony Springer and an x-ray source who’s registered name was
cop schewe we call him Willy no we didn’t you don’t know whether we
call him Wills. It should be pointed out it should be pointed out the Jobe is also
an animal lover but he likes his either roasted or fried and speaking of the two of them I don’t
know how many of you know how they met but it came as a massive surprise to me
how it happened Jobe told me in confidence but I’m sure
he don’t mind my divulging today what happened he apparent he apparently had just been
honored by the Dalai Lama for being the first man to climb Everest barefoot in
his pyjama trousers and apparently Olivia was waiting at the bottom
teaching the Sherpas what was the song My Way. I, of course as her
father have always been there when needed when she was a baby from right
through and of course when she wet herself when she was sick all over the
place when she was crying screaming but she swears somebody had spiked a drink you done? This sweet young thing all
right it’s true though it’s true true this sweet young thing sitting here was
like a brother something in-law rugby player she played
for Birmingham uni and during a oh thank you girl
and during a year in France she played first-class rugby for now see say she on
section say yeah but of course a passion apart of course from job is a music
singing and writing her own songs and I think she would agree that Glennis and I
over the years of being their biggest fans following their and a band three or
four times to London watching her every night in Turkey when she where she was
for three seasons sometimes we were part of the Act then when she had a winter
doing the South closer with the clubs in South Wales we were a biggest fans
sometimes we were only fans but we were expected to be there regardless what the
problems were anything and I went into hospital for a heart transplant and a
triple bypass and I went into excuse me who wrote this bloody lot I went I went
into hospital for a heart transplant and a quadruple bypass sorry got that wrong
missed one gig she didn’t speak to me for months Glennis Jennison Olivia last year were
in roads for a girly week and job was staying with me I need been on comfort
all evening and then he said Ian I’ve got a rather awkward question to ask you
and I thought oh it was between cars at the time cuz that’s how he drives
between cars and I’m thinking he’s going to ask me for a loan to buy another car
and I thought yeah I’ll do the deal yeah that would be fine then he said I wonder
if you would mind if I asked Olivia to marry me yeah why the bloody hell didn’t
you ask for the loan serious now sorry
there are three people not here today is the old man again
oh I know these two would love to be here uncle George who strangely enough
at the patients a job with her as a child and arranged their first game
because at the age of I think it was four in an Italian restaurant in
Portsmouth stick her on the table and she sang What did he say brownie ice down her first gig feel the
other person that she would dearly love to be either grandma
Cowley probably the best ground in the world and I know that job really mrs.
Harry his young father we massively admire so the Libyan Olivia and job have
lived with us for nearly a year now and it’s been to me and it’s been a Libyan
job of lived with us for nearly a year now they’ve been er they’ve been with us was
their house underwent a few cousin cosmetic changes these changes included
get rid of rats from the kitchen and then the loft renew in every single
ceiling in the house dumping and replacing the kitchen replacing every
single door plaster in nearly every wall renewing two floors renewing wiring and
plugs I tell you it could have broughton to less of people all Monica but these
two soldiered on work during the day came home of T out to the house back on
ten o’clock bed wet the next day for a year as a result they’ve got a beautiful
little house and it’s on show to the public from the only thing that really
requires to be changed is to stop job applying paint with a bloody trowel seriously they’ve achieved miracles
that’s me enjoy yourselves love each other thank you you when my sister first caught me to tell
me she was dating a man called Joel burrows I was intrigued that’s the strong name I
said to myself I conjured up an image in my mind of a tall strong Greek demigod shouldn’t laugh at your own jokes but no
that wasn’t to be she meant this joke bruised nuts but that’s okay you know
what that’s okay because Joe bruises is his own man yes
his favorite drink is archers and lemonade and yes he likes musical
theater more than my sister and yes he does get acid reflux after eating too
much white bread and unsurprisingly young age but putting all that to one side it’s
lovely to see my sister truly happy and I know that you’re the reason for that
so without further ado please welcome my brother-in-law Joe bruisers Thank you very much. Thank You Kieran, and Ian, thank you for those kind words. I knew the Ian’s speech would be hard to
follow and I was right; did anyone except the people on Table
Ten understand a word that Ian just said? Diolch i chwi gyd am fod yma y prynhawn yma i ddathlu gyda ni. Thank you all very much for being here to
celebrate with us with us today friends, family, distinguished guests – on
behalf of my wife and I or if you prefer my most recent ex-girlfriend – I would
like to thank you all for being here today to celebrate with us. Mae’n bleser i fod yma – gyda gymaint o deulu a ffrindiau. Mae’n ffantastig i fod yma… mae’n golygu’r byd i’r ddoi ohonnom ni. It’s wonderful to have so many of our closest friends and family
and somewhat comforting to know that my funeral should be really well attended. We wrote our guest list over a year ago because we really knew who it was that
we wanted to be here with us it was actually a very easy decision and
so we really want to extend our appreciation to everyone this this made
it here today. It really wouldn’t be the same without without you. It would
have been a lot cheaper, but it wouldn’t have been the same without you. I’m not
big on cheers to this person and cheers to that person but there will be a few
commands to raise your glasses as I speak so Glenys, if you can just try to
make that drink last throughout the entire speech, that would be…oh, it’s gone.
Top up for the mother of the bride please! as most of you as most of you,
particularly my friends know, I never really expected to be standing here. I
never expected to get married..never expected to get married and when I spoke
to Huw, my best man about taking a wife he was actually incredibly supportive in
fact he said if I just wanted to take his wife that would be that would be
okay with him. I think I think Helena my maid of honor was was probably as
surprised as Huw, but she probably also felt quite a lot of disappointment we’d
always been each other’s backups if neither of us were married by the time
we were 40 we were gonna marry each other. The upside is that I’m
still opens that arrangement and I will have had at least one dry run at running
a wedding. You’ll have to me forgive me if this speech goes on a little but
as you can imagine, there aren’t many occasions where Olivia allows me to
speak on behalf of both of us. What a strange feeling it is to be standing
here a married man. I never wanted to grow up as a kid and that mentality had
lived with me my whole life and in the last 12 months I’ve got a joint mortgage
a life insurance policy a sensible car shed in my garden and now I’ve taken my
first wife and it’s a really strange feeling but
ultimately the reason that I popped the question was because it was actually
incredibly happy that I have grown up. While Olivia and I have an awful lot in
common as Kieran has alluded to already this afternoon, we also differ
dramatically sometimes on some things we do however make a really good team. Olivia cooks and I eat it I make a mess and Olivia cleans it right up and those
are just two short examples of how well we get on and work together but there
are many wonderful things I could say about Olivia she’s caring she’s humble
she’s kind she’s attentive and she’s organized so organized in fact she
actually managed to write some sections of this speech for me but the most
outstanding quality of Olivia’s is that she is an excellent judge of character it’s a slow burner. I’ll explain to
the lot from Bradford at the end!! The truth is that one of us can be quite
arrogant and quite difficult at times but thankfully she’s also willing to
learn Olivia really is very organized
she and mainly she, jokes aside has made today what it is. It’s taking a lot
of stress and tears to make today happen and it has been a long long time in the
planning – if I’m honest I think she’d started to plan most of it years before
she’d met me. Chware teg, Olivia asked me hundreds of questions
about what I wanted here today naturally they were all immediately dismissed but
I was I was approached and I really appreciated that. Olivia wasn’t
expecting the proposal and when I asked there was a short delay in her response
which initially worried me but later I realized she was actually counting how
many vegetarians they would be in the room there are seven of them and I’ll
point them all out to you later I remember the big question very clearly
it was nearly 8 o’clock on the 14th of May last year when I finally plucked up
the courage and asked the question I got down on one knee and then I got down on
both knees and I begged Ian to pay for my wedding Ian and Glenys, I need to thank you for
bringing up such a wonderful daughter and forgiving me the honor and privilege
of marrying her I will do my absolute utmost every day for the rest of my life
to make sure that she looks after me properly Dad, Mam, thank you for bringing up such a
wonderful son job is the nicest, cleverest and funniest bloke I have ever
known and you couldn’t have done a better job. My father has always been a
man of few words and when I told him that Olivia and I were getting married
he did pass on two pieces of very important information on to me. Firstly
he said that we should get married as early as possible in the day so that if
it didn’t work out we’d have the rest of the afternoon to do something productive
with secondly he said you must never forget you of there are three rings
involved in a marriage: an engagement ring a wedding ring and the suffering if
you’re lucky they won’t all last forever I do need to pay a huge gratitude
gratitude to Ian and Glenys for everything they’ve done for me and
Olivia without their input today certainly wouldn’t have been possible
not only if they paid for the seats that you seated on and the wine that you’re
quaffing, they’ve also been the most kind understanding and patient people certainly
more than Olivia and I have been while we’ve been living with them for the last
year. They’ve welcomed me into their home and their family they’ve picked up
sweeping brushes and paint brushes Ian even managed to paint the wrong side
of the skirting in our house for hours and hours one afternoon Telling him when he looked so proud
of himself was one of the most fantastic things I have ever had to do! They’ve
been more supporting and encouraging than I can possibly convey so ladies and
gentlemen I won’t go through ten toasts tonight, but if you would please be
upstanding and if you would charge a glass to Ian and Glenys. To Ian and
Gladys! Thank you very much. Olivia is one of the most resilient
people I know as most of you know we bought our first house and had the keys
given to us exactly a year ago today and as Ian said it has been an absolute
nightmare the floors needed ripping out the ceilings needed ripping down we took
25 tons of rubble out and replaced it after noticing there was a problem with
rising damp and God knows whatever else and we had to move back in with Olivia’s
parents fort was first one month honestly, three months at the most. It was
nine months later and during all this time we were absolutely hemorrhaging
money and all we ever seem to get was bad news and more bad news.
Olivia always managed to pick herself back up. She knuckled down and she kept
the stiff upper lip and she managed to grin and bear it all. It’s one of
Olivia’s many wonderful qualities and after this horrendous experience we’ve
had over the last year I know that I’m right when I say that we will always
muddle through…no matter what happens or whatever I say next in this speech! One of my favorite stories about me and Olivia is when we first started wedding planning about
about 13 months ago it didn’t take us long to realize that we’d found the
right venue the right reading the right music the right church; because it would
be the one where I would turn around and Olivia would just be streaming tears
down her face. We didn’t make it as far as this hall when I turned around and
Olivia had nothing but mascara left and it was all down her face and the only
thing interrupting it was the biggest smile you could possibly imagine and why
wouldn’t she be what a fantastic venue we’re sat in today. I
also enjoyed it when we walked in St. Martin’s Church for the first time. She
cried when we walked in cried when we sang the first hymn cried when we spoke
to the minister cried when junior church came out to say what they’d learned
today and cried most of the ride home we were getting married in St. Martin’s. I
am the happiest I have ever been, and I know everyone says that life is
perfect but we finally got there! As everyone does, I look for certain I looked
for certain qualities while I finding a partner. She had to be beautiful she
had to be witty and kind she had to be confident she had to be exciting..and I
went on a lot of dates and the ladies on that table they will probably tell you
some of them some of the most haunting stories you’ll ever hear but when I met
Olivia I found someone with all of those qualities and so many more that I wasn’t
even looking for. I’ve managed to hold it together today so far so I’m hoping
to make it until the end of the speech. We’ve already had a wonderful day today and I
know I speak for everyone when I say that I’m looking forward to the
rest of the evening too. I need to thank the Coal Exchange because we’ve had a
wonderful day. Olivia and I will always be in your debt. …There we go, it’s another slow burner. Picking a best man was always going to
be difficult because I was stuck with Huw. I was the best man at his wedding so
I suppose we both lost out there really following the infamous speech I gave at
Huw’s wedding, he was a little nervous about the pressure that had been put on him today so he asked me
what it was that I expected from him I told him all he had to do was turn up
smile and look half decent. Thanks for turning up. I’m hoping he’ll redeem himself with his speech. I do sincerely need to thank Huw for the hours and hours he’s put
into this wedding. Olivia and I really do appreciate all three of them he’s managed to
squeezed in this morning. Huw and I have been friends for a long time – if
there’s one thing I need to tell you about him it’s that he is always telling
embarrassing stories about other people when really he’s talking about himself
so you should really be a very in mind for the next sort of 10 minutes or so
I’m very lucky because I have so many wonderful friends
which is why Helena is also here today acting as my maid of honor
I’ve always surrounded myself with the most wonderful people I’ve never had
fairweather friends but wonderful friends and almost all of them have made
it here today and I think that that’s wonderful. That Helena lives in London and Huw works in London. That Sara and Mared have travelled down from
Caernarfon in North Wales. We’ve even managed to get two Americans who have
traveled 5,000 miles to be with us today …we’ve had people fly from Peru to be
here with us on Olivia’s side and I just think that’s a wonderful testament
to the friendships where we’re both able to boast. Every single person here
today is important to us and this long awaited day wouldn’t have been the same
without you. I have to thank you all for your generous gifts…Olivia and I totted
it up about an hour ago and you have almost paid for yourselves which which
is great. Recently Ian…my father-in-law Ian got back in touch with his family
after a long period and it’s wonderful that we’ve managed to get those here as
well I think we were about 20 minutes into meeting them or meeting back up
with them when Olivia was calling Jean her on Aunty Jean –
she didn’t think twice about inviting them to be here and a part of today with us. Could we all please raise a glass to family and
friends old and new family and friends old and new. We’ve always considered ourselves to be
a big family. We’ve always been close and we’ve always seen each other a lot we
have lunches and dinners we celebrate birthdays and Christmas and any other
holiday that we can squeeze in and today we’ve doubled the size of our family and
that is one of the one was wonderful feelings. As Ian said, there are lots of
people that we would have loved to have been here today it’s my grandmother – sorry, that’s – my grandfather, that’s Olivia’s grandmother. That’s Mary who lived across the road and, I mean, the list goes on. If we could all please raise a glass
to our absent friends it would mean the world to us. To absent friends! Alas, the
most important person to thank is my beautiful wife for not only managing to
put up with me for the last few years but for pledging to love, honor and obey me for the rest of our lives. Ladies and gentlemen, would you please, for the final time in my speech; be
upstanding and raise your glasses to Mrs. Olivia Bruzas. Thank you very much. That’s it from me. I hadn’t met…Ihadn’t met the best man until today and so again I turn to my trusty
Google to try and get a feeling for the sort of man I should expect what I
stumbled across was through sedition of where the best man hails from the
concept of the best man is thought to have originated with the Germanic God in
the 16th century you can tell this sort of Wikipedia he was the best man for
specifically the job of stealing the bride from her neighboring community or
disapproving family he would have been chosen for his guile
his cunning his strength and his inner ring and loyalty to the groom Hugh does
that sound like you modest as well ladies and gentlemen
please give a warm welcome to the best man huge hello Jim I don’t a flash for
you Joe yeah well here we are welcome everyone don’t
you all look lovely I’d like to start by saying a big congratulations to the
bride and the groom on their wedding day I must apologize as this speech is
pretty much downhill from you undoubtedly everyone has made an effort
today I look great it goes without saying that Olivia looks absolutely
fantastic today the bridesmaids look great
Olivia’s parents jobs parents my wife looks fantastic and joke who chose to
wear purple I’ve never been one for speeches so I’d like to take this
opportunity to thank you all for coming to the wedding of my best friend job and
his new wife Olivia who is quite frankly as you I’m sure you all agree well out
of his league with Joe Byrne Olivia so I suppose I should tell you a bit about
Joe Byrne I as this speech is more about more than just about job and he bet me
my speech wouldn’t be any longer than his best man speech of my wedding which
stands at 20 minutes and 37 seconds I hope you’re all comfortable we’ve been
friends for as long as I can remember every birthday as children Joe would
have a pool party in Kevin forest and the whole class was invited it’s
probably the only reason we’re friends to be honest you know how the weird kids
parents invite all the class to their party in the hopes that someone would
talk to their kid well I guess I drew the short straw with that one joven I would very different growing up
I was a quiet polite young boy and job wasn’t we went camping a lot as
teenagers not far from his mother’s house we would pitch our tent in the
woods light the fire and eat traditional camping food like the fish finger
sandwiches Joe would pop back to his mother’s for but as we got older job
decided that he was far too cool for campaign which I’m pretty sure doesn’t
come as a surprise to most of you not like after job got a big Hollywood break
by starring as young Galahad in the film King Arthur they sent him up to Scotland
for filming they taught him horse riding they taught him sword fighting and no
doubt they taught him how to act all for to end up on the cutting room floor
however if you watch the director’s cut he’s at the very start of it or so he
claims way off in the distance on a horse anyway
although rather I’ve checked IMDB and he is definitely not credited at 18 he flew
the nest and went to Kumar then University to study drama
apart from drinking and doing stupid things I have no idea how he spent his
time my wife Laura was in uni with him and I visited every other weekend I
think it really helped Jobe to address the living away from home by having
lower on canvas with him he would pop in when pass in most nights
drink her decent coffee and freshen up in her sink before going off into the
night I had some great times in uni with Jove
like the time we carried that mattress across campus because the Americans were
leaving and their mattresses were far better than yours which given the fact
that we could fold his mattress in half was probably right I’ve been trying to
think of all the hilariously funny and ladee stories the job and I have had
over the years and to be honest there aren’t any he’s about as boring as they
come but thinking of all the things we’ve done there’s a recurring theme
chills just not the best at booking hotels when we was in uni when job was
in the Uni sorry we decided to go to 10v for the weekend and it was only down the
road from Kamara Joe booked the hotel and we were
recommended a small Italian restaurant near the harbour what seemed like a
simple foolproof plan turned out to be anything but we soon realized the
restaurant was a la carte well around the time my steak arrived all alone on a
plate and we hadn’t thought to other sides being Lia only an apprentice at
the time and in a hundred and twenty quid a week and Joe being a student we
hadn’t planned for a la carte dining we laughed all the way back up the hill to
the hotel until the morning when we arrived the front desk money in hand to
check out and found that Joe had missed the small print with the hotel
the price was per person and not per room that was the first of many weekends away
of hard with job and for someone who was on holiday as much as I’m in work his
booking skills don’t seem to be improving Olivia I hope you have
double-checked this honeymoon for our 23rd birthdays job of the lads holiday
to Dublin with all the things you’d expect lads on tour to do we went to
Temple Bar and we ought we had a Guinness each it turns out we don’t like
Guinness we went all the way to Dublin to find out we don’t like Guinness loudest of all we went for a romantic
meal for two why yes Jove and I wise why we had wine we had steaks who had the
works job was so impressed that he decided to complement the restaurant via
Twitter with the hashtag more wine please
five minutes later they brought him over a glass of wine after seeing his treat
it was a first for job and the way to Tori’s received an order via Twitter
although job was rather annoyed when the wine he’d ordered via Twitter ended up
on the bill checking into the hotel was just as
interesting job who by now should have learned to read the small print missed
the part where the hotel was under refurbishment and the room he booked
could not be guaranteed so our twin room became a double but it was fine but it
was fine because they gave us a second duvet which which I’m sure you’re still
gutted about and then there’s a time we went to Thorpe Park Frank
not long after Giovanni limited met Joe wood discovered suggested the four of us
go out together having booked two days at Thorpe Park with the hotel we headed
off early Saturday morning we arrived and checked into our room which in
itself was interesting it was a 40-foot steel container with one window a
bathroom a bunk bed and a double bed that we got to share between the four of
us apparently nobody had a very good night’s sleep as someone was snoring I have no idea anyway we get into the
park and the first ride we come to a sort of a pendulum swing ride jumping
off the ride a trainer limping we noticed the job is lagging behind as it
happens job isn’t a fan of rides at all and says to us with a sweaty green look
on his face oh that was horrible I don’t want to go on anymore and that was it
here Anna maybe maybe two more rides that weekend that two days he went on
maybe two more rides but spent most of it waiting for us at the exit like any
good mother would I got married last year for those of you that don’t know
and job being my best man had to arrange the stack which he did if
I’m honest a pretty decent job of although true to form the hotel we ended
up in was hotel number three but I won’t go into there
I wasn’t long back off my honeymoon when Joby invited me over to tell me the news
of his engagement to Olivia surprised and confused at what he just told me I
asked him again to make sure I heard correctly Olivia it’s a testament to you
that Joe proposed not many of us thought that he began married anytime soon given
that I’m pretty much the only male friend the job has it was pretty obvious that I was the
best choice for this position in fact I’m not entirely sure you officially
asked me to be your best man anyway I was tasked with bucking the stag do
which had two briefs grease and boat so with nine lads heading to the airport
ready for a week of sunshine beer and obviously endless partying thanks al
the only thing joe was worried about was being embarrassed by his father who
would have thought the job would be the embarrassing one the first full day we
went out for a walk and ended up by the beach Joe found a Sun Lounger outside a
bar and ordered some drinks after a while we decided that it was too nice on
the beach and we wanted to go in the sea but we hadn’t brought any of our
swimming gear as we hadn’t planned on ending up by the seaside so we went back
to the hotel to change but joke decided he’d wait for us to come back he was far
too comfortable on his Sun Lounger he waved us off and said I’ll see you in a
bit he kind of occurred after about an hour and a half passed by the time we
were back to the beach I was worried that Joe would be annoyed
that we’d taken as long but he was actually the opposite he was
disappointed to see us in the time we’d gone
he’s had three massages and four or five large glasses of wine we all had another
drink while Joe had another massage he convinced Mike to have a massage too
insisting he pay for it oh by the way Mike he didn’t pay for it
you did when it was time to head back to the hotel
Joe was well past his best and Mike had managed to catch up so I ended up
carrying both of them I ended up carrying both of them home like the most
unlucky eligible bachelor in Greece with one on each arm upon eventual arrival to
the hotel job was presented to his father in what can only be described as
a dribbling mess random mumbling ensued followed by projectile vomiting and I
quickly left Craig to it which I’m sure you appreciate it
so that’s grease and jobs princess time dealt with there was only
one thing left the boat we rented the best boat we could afford which wasn’t
great it didn’t have a canopy but it did float we had this boat for about six
hours we all jumped aboard beer in hand and set sail for the island in the
distance we nominated Colin as the captain not because he was the most
responsible of all of us but because he’s half Scottish and there’s no way he
was going to be paying for any damages we had a fantastic time sailing around
doing nothing even if our boat had been sabotage by the owners in the hopes we’d
call them the help but alas I managed to fix it no less than three times during
the day and I’m I must say the lack of disappointment on the boat owners face
from realtor in to the boat in full walk working order was quite amusing a year
ago today John Olivia got the keys to their first house and much like his luck
with hotels they bought a bit of a lemon but after ten months of blood sweat
tears Joe finally learned the meaning of DIY oh wow you need teach him well they
finally got a point anyway where they could move in one thing I will say is my
ability or right of speech right and present a speech may not be great
but my wiring skills are top-notch as I’m sure sure when Olivia will agree I don’t know this is my screeched and on
that note if anyone eats any electrical work doing I will be leaving my business
cards on down the front for any of you to take in all honesty I have known job
as long as I can remember my mother refers to him as her adopted son and
given that he knows me most of the time like all brothers do I catch he’s not
wrong if anything ever happened I know he would be there straight away most
people wonder why I’m even friends with him as we have as we have literally nothing in common but again just like brothers we’re stuck
with each other and with that I would like to offer my congratulations to the
bride and groom and wish them all the very best to Mister embraces bruisers
with whatever the future may hold you don’t have to you don’t marry someone
you can live with you marry someone you can’t live without job Olivia Sangha
mafia day breaking with tradition slightly job and Olivia have chosen a
best woman Alan now Hugh don’t read too much into that Joe Bella on his 30th birthday and
they’ve been friends ever since now some people write speeches some
people write good speeches on some write songs with lyrics and perform it on a
grand piano in the corner welcoming quite literally to the stage yes so for
everybody who does know me today there are a lot of you who have never met me
before and will possibly meet me a loft from now on my name is Helen and Jobe
has been my best friend for the last fifteen and a half years as said we met
on job’s thirteenth birthday at a Saturday stage school in Ponte
pre-and one of the first things that I remember we bonded about was how
wonderful it is to be an only child I mean it was just fantastic and
ironically through a bond like that Jobe has become the closest thing I’ve ever
had to a brother and that is special for another reason today because it means
by that standard I’ve also gained a sister-in-law and a pretty beautiful one
at that now I do need to clarify this was job’s
idea I didn’t just like thoughts a song on him it was his suggestion he called
me he asked for it and this is what he’s getting so I would like to present for
its debut and I mean probably only performance you don’t really recycle
these things the song that I’ve written for today called – yeah that should be
fine you probably know how the story goes two
people meet a fondness cruise you cross on the path of life one day and decide
to go on together that way through the shared time the ones you make me we can
crack but never break and you know that there’s still so much more to do
for Jove and I and now Olivia to I met two of the day he turned 13 I was
in the bath for a drama scene long story short my toe got stuck got good fortune
and good luck sento my way free from that day
best friends we’d be the story’s too fantastic to be true Oh Joe and I and
now Olivia and he’ll take you to
a whole new a new Fantastic point of view but
remember by and large she is in charge and she’ll make a man out of you did you
ever hear the wife right to the bellies moon because he had not done it he was you need to see you need to leave a clear list of all
his tasks and they’ll be done light fire hell fire he knows what’s good for him
because he just once I’ve known this guy for 15 years I’ve
heard his Joy’s I’ve heard his fears I’ve met his girlfriend’s good and bad
well mostly bad we’re just some really curious choices were there but I say
with all sincerity that live and herb are meant to be his heart to which she
holds the key the times he’s dead but she won’t be
the patient’s ain’t that she must be to soothe his irritability a couple
straight out of defeat ever after happily so raise a glass and toast to
all that to Olivia and and sometimes me too certainly not for the last time you’re
amazing that was time the world of
