BEST THINGS TO DO IN ASHEVILLE | North Carolina

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville, NC boats a fun mix of street art, music, good food, local beer and outdoor adventures. If you love beer, you’ll love Asheville. With more breweries per capita than anywhere else in the country. The French Broad River flows right through town Perfect for kayaking, tubing, or even whitewater SUP which is a lot harder than it looks! While you’re in town, make sure to visit America’s largest home George Vanderbilt’s “Biltmore Estate”. Today we’re hiking through the forest, looking for edible plants, berries, mushrooms, even flowers. It’s part of a foraging tour with a company called “No Taste Like Home” Milky or pex milk-cap The ones we’re looking for are called “leatherbacks” After foraging in the forest, we visited the Marketplace Resaurant where they turned our edibles into a tasty meal. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 20 min away It’s one of America’s great scenic road trips and a perfect place to go hiking. Pisgah National Forest is also close with fun waterfalls like Looking Glass & Sliding Rock A crazy, natural rock waterslide! (woooooaah!)

  1. That's awesome. I am going to have to visit there now. You should come to Delaware and check out some places. If you do please let me know! I'd love to hang out with you. There's a lot of places in West Virginia that you would enjoy I think. Look up Lindy Point, black water falls, Seneca Rocks.. basically that whole are of the state is a beautiful site-seeing adventure. Great videos. I watch them all the time in preparation for the purchase of my Mavic.

  5. We had a blast in Asheville. We visit Zebulon Vance birthplace, stumbled upon a fun festival and enjoyed the yummy dining options in town. I wish we could have spent more time in nature. My daughter cried when we left, because she wanted more time in Asheville.

  6. I miss going to Asheville as a kid, my grandfather used to own a house up there in the mountains and my mom went to high school there. The first time I saw snow was up in Asheville so I guess u could say I have some fond memories of the place.

  7. Mountain biking is huge. Plenty of trails in Asheville as well as quick driving distance from Asheville. Pisgah, DuPont, Black Mountain, Bent Creek, Kolo, Bailey Mountain
